When it looks at the screen
Press Insert to open Mini NOVA. The screenshot is taken when you submit a question, not when you press Insert. Each question sends a fresh screenshot of the screen at that moment. Nothing is captured in the background or between questions.
The Mini NOVA server does not capture your screen. A screenshot reaches the server only when the app sends one with a question.
Voice input is not available yet. Typed questions only.
What is sent, and when
A screenshot is sent only with a question. The app also sends the recent conversation it has kept. The server uses only the last 6 of those messages for that answer, and it does not save them.
What NOVA's server stores
NOVA's server does not save the screenshot. It is not written to disk, to the service database, to Supabase, or to the logs.
NOVA's server does not store the question or the answer. Memory is the recent conversation kept by the app and sent with each question. There is no chat history list to browse, and there is no screenshot history in the app.
Where it goes
The question and screenshot go to the Mini NOVA service at mini-nova-backend.onrender.com, hosted on Render. The screenshot is sent to an AI service to produce the answer. The Privacy Policy lists the providers.
Accounts are held with Supabase. The website creates an account by sending your email and password to Supabase. Plan and trial records live on the Mini NOVA service, separate from Supabase.
NOVA never receives your card number. You enter a card only on Stripe Checkout or in the Stripe customer billing portal.
How to ask for deletion
This website has no delete-account control. Email admin@deskwithnova.com and ask for the account to be deleted. The privacy policy says we may need to verify your identity first.
Releasing an installation is separate. The service can unlink a device from the signed-in account. That does not delete the account.
Sensitive screens
Close or hide passwords, one-time codes, bank details, and full card numbers before you submit a question. The screenshot is taken then, not when you press Insert. Do not send information you are not allowed to share.
