Getting started
What is NOVA Ink?
NOVA Ink is a browser extension from NOVA for Chrome and Edge. It fixes typos as you type, drafts Gmail replies, and rewrites, translates or summarizes text you highlight.
Which browsers does it work in?
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on your computer. It doesn't work in Firefox, Safari or on phones.
How do I install it?
Add it from the Chrome Web Store, pin it, and sign in with your NOVA account. See the install guide for each step.
Do I need Mini NOVA?
No. NOVA Ink works on its own and shares the NOVA account with Mini NOVA.
Using NOVA Ink
How does fix as you type work?
Spelling is checked on your device as you type. After you pause, the sentence you are typing is checked for grammar. Click the underline or press Tab to apply the fix, and Ctrl+Z undoes it.
Will it change what I mean?
No. Fixes change your wording, never your meaning, names, numbers or dates. Nothing changes until you accept it.
What can I do with highlighted text?
Rewrite it Clearer, Shorter, More formal or More natural, summarize it, translate it into 12 languages, ask a question about it, or find sources for it.
Does it work in Google Docs?
Yes, for spelling. Mistakes are underlined inside Google Docs with no setup, and nothing leaves your device until you accept a fix or pick an action.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. It spots formula errors like #N/A and #REF!, explains them and applies the fix in the cell.
Which languages does it check?
It checks English writing and can translate highlighted text into 12 languages.
Privacy
Does NOVA Ink store my text?
No. Our servers don't store the text you send, and it is never used to train AI models.
Where is NOVA Ink always off?
On banking, checkout, tax, health and sign-in pages, and in password, card and ID fields. You can also turn it off on any site.
Is the natural check an AI detector?
No. It is a writing style check that runs on your device and can't predict what other tools will say.
Plans and billing
How much does NOVA Ink cost?
US$7.99 a month or US$71.88 a year. Mini NOVA and NOVA Ink together are US$17.99 a month. Business is US$20 per seat a month.
Is there a trial?
Yes. 7 days with 10 AI actions a day, and you don't need a card.
What is an AI action?
Each AI result you ask for, like a rewrite, a summary, a translation or a reply draft. Spelling checks run on your device. Paid plans include 300 AI actions a month and 30 grammar checks a day, with fair use.
Does my Mini NOVA plan include NOVA Ink?
No. Mini NOVA Basic, Plus and Pro don't include NOVA Ink. The Mini NOVA + Ink plan includes both.
How do I cancel?
Sign in on the pricing page at deskwithnova.com and manage your plan there. Plans renew until you cancel.
